Important Notice on Cabin Baggage
For flights departing the UK the following additional restrictions apply:
ONE cabin bag with maximum dimensions 56 x 45 x 25cm (including all handles, side pockets and wheels) and a maximum weight of 5 kilos may be carried on-board. All items are subject to x-ray or hand search.
We strongly advise you to pack any liquids that you don’t need whilst onboard the aircraft in your hold baggage. However, if you do need to travel with liquids, please be aware of the following restrictions which apply to all liquids you wish to carry through an airport security checkpoint:
- All liquids must be in individual containers not greater than 100ml capacity. They must be placed in one transparent re-sealable transparent bag, no larger than 20cm x 20cm (8" x 8") in size, and fit comfortably inside the bag so it can be fastened closed
- Only one bag per passenger is allowed. The bag must be clear and re-sealable, such as ‘ziplock’ bags or bags with pressable seals. Larger bags or bags that are not sealable, such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed
- Each passenger must remove their clear plastic bag from their hand baggage and place it in on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening
- Liquids in containers of more than 100ml capacity can be packed in your hold baggage

CABIN BAGGAGE
Only one piece of hand baggage per passenger will be permitted in the cabin.
This item should weigh no more than 5 kilos with the maximum dimensions 56 x 45 x 25cm (including all handles, side pockets and wheels), and should include no sharp items. It must be able to fit under the seat or in the overhead locker.
HOLD BAGGAGE
The weight of the baggage permitted for carriage in the hold of the aircraft, is normally 20 kilos per passenger. However, this may differ with flights to certain tour operators/destinations. Please check with your tour operator for details of your specific flight.
Carriage of excess baggage will be undertaken subject to space and availability on the day.
MAXIMUM PIECE WEIGHT
RESTRICTED ARTICLES
Very strict legislation exists on the carriage of flammable or poisonous substances. Items such as paint, varnish, lighter fuel, gas refills for hair stylers, fireworks or party poppers cannot be carried. Pistols cannot be carried and the regulations concerning the carriage of sporting guns or the rules on restricted items can be obtained from our Special Requirements department.
The following items are not permitted for carriage in the aircraft cabin with you:
- Toy or replica guns
- Catapults
- Household cutlery
- Knives with blades of any length
- Paper knives
- Razor blades
- Tradesmen's tool
- Darts
- Scissors
- Knitting needles
- Sporting bats (i.e. Cricket)
- Billard and snooker or pool cues.
All of these items must be carried in your hold baggage.
The following dangerous articles are not permitted in baggage whether cabin or hold baggage:
- Gas cylinders. Deeply refrigerated flammable, non-flammable, and poisonous gases such as butane, oxygen, propane, and aqualung cylinders. Includes butane gas (eg for use with heated hair appliances) camping gas, and chef's blow torches.
- Flammable liquids and solids such as lighter or heater fuels, paint, and matches (except one box of matches or one refillable cigarette lighter as provided below). Please note that passengers may only carry on their person one box of safety matches. These must be carried on the person and are NOT permitted in cabin baggage or in hold baggage. Cigarette lighters are NOT permitted.
- Poisons such as insecticides, weed killers, arsenic, and cyanide.
- Radioactive material, oxidising materials, and organic peroxides such as bleaches and fibreglass repair kits.
- Firearms and explosives. Handguns, automatic weapons, munitions, ammunitions including blank cartridges, pistol caps, fireworks, flares, smoke canisters, and crackers. Note: As an exception, sporting/competition firearms and a maximum of 5kgs of ammunition (UN0012 or UN0014) may be carried in hold luggage with appropriate paperwork, subject to available space, if declared at check-in and securely boxed or packaged. Please note ammunition must be packed as part of passenger hold baggage and separated from firearms. Passengers checking in firearms must check in at least 90 minutes prior to the scheduled time of departure (see note 1 above).

- Infectious substances such as bacteria and viruses.
- Corrosives such as mercury, acids, alkalis, and wet-cell batteries.
